I spent just over 23 years on Active Duty in the Army, 17 of which were spent serving in 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Campbell, KY. I have had multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Syria along with countless operational deployments and training exercises throughout the Middle East.
As my career was coming to an end, I began to analyze what made my time in the Army and the Special Operations community so amazing. I realized that, although I have had some truly unbelievable experiences just by the nature of the job, most of those experiences were made great because of the incredible men and women that I served with. As cheesy as this sounds, the military really has given me more than I could ever repay, and it’s because of the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen that I served with (sorry Coast Guard, I never had the honor to work with any of you).
I started The Veteran Archery Project to hopefully give back what I received and to show my appreciation and gratitude. From the veterans that served before me, that paved the way for those to follow generations later, to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces (Coast Guard included) who currently serve on Active Duty, in the Reserves, and in the National Guard, it is because of all of your past, present, and future sacrifices that I have been able to retire at peace.
Thank you!
